What Makes This Natural Dog Food the Clear Choice?

natural dog foodIn the search for a quality nutrition source, the term natural dog food often comes up but many dog owners do not know exactly what this means.

There are quite a few commercial dog food products that refer to themselves as ‘natural’ or ‘organic’ because they claim to use only top choice ingredients in their foods.

Let it be known that any dog food that comes out of a bag or can has been cooked and this means that it cannot be natural. In its most natural settings, no one has ever seen a canine get up and cook its own food.

What is the Best Natural Dog Food?

A natural raw dog food diet composed of real fresh food: a diet of raw meat and bone comprised of such things as organ meats, muscle tissue, skin, tendons, cartilage and bone.

The largest debate over natural dog food centers on concerns of safety which vets often warn against with natural diets. However, considering that pet food companies have funded veterinary organizations for years and pay vets to promote and sell their pet food products, it is easy to wonder where the real interests lie when it comes to canine nutrition.

It is also prudent to know that veterinarians will get little or no training in canine nutrition during their education unless they seek it on their own. Most don’t. Otherwise, they would know that a dog’s system is designed to assimilate nutrients from fresh raw foods – not cooked commercial foods.

Whay all Natural Dog Food?

It is common knowledge today that our children need fresh food intheir diet for better health and so it follows that our dogs need some fresh food in their diet too. Instead we have them subsist on fast food from cans and bags without ever questioning whether this stuff is really any good for them.

The fact is ninety percent of health issues are diet related and the statistics for commercially fed dogs show it:

  • Surveys in the U.S., Canada, U.K. and Denmark put the average life span of most dog breeds at ten to thirteen years when a natural diet will see dogs living seventeen to nineteen years.
  • Cancer is now the chief cause of death for the domesticated dog.
  • One in four dogs the world over are obese (National Research Council).
  • Eighty five percent of dogs by age four will suffer from periodontal disease.
  • In the U.S., twenty percent of dogs suffer from arthritis.
  • One third of all dogs suffer from allergies that cause scratching and ear infections.

It is obvious commercial dog food’s ingredients of poor quality cereals, rendered waste meat and spent rancid fat with incredible amounts of added synthetic substances, GMO’s and contamination from bacteria, mold, drugs and other toxins do not make for healthy nutrition.

As stated by Dr. R. Geoffrey Broderick DVM, “Every time a pet trustingly eats another bowl of high sugar pet food, he is being brought that much closer to diabetes, hypoglycemia, overweight, nervousness, cataracts, allergy and death.”

Feeders of natural dog food diets have this to say:

“i immediately switched him onto the new diet, which turned out to be a cinch to do. It’s been 4 months now and after the health check the cancer has vanished, and all the other problems along with it…

Your excellent information literally saved my dogs life…” John Bailey

“We have an 11 year old Golden retriever. She’s been sick with stomach problems and skin allergies for years and the vet bills were killing us. I followed your steps and changed her diet straight away. 3 weeks later the stomach problems cleared up, and the skin is healing fast…She loves the new diet…

So far the vet bills are zero” Joseph, Tilly and kids

Thank goodness for common sense. Getting back to basics and natural feeding are the only way to go if you love your pet and want a long happy relationship. Trips to the vets being for emergencies and accidents rather than long term chronic conditions. Thankyou for bringing this way of pet care to our attention.

  2. Thankyou in return, it’s a pleasure. Your comments re the vet are so true, long term chronic health conditions in dogs are a sad fact of modern day convenience thinking over common sense.
