Boost Diabetic Dog Health With Powerful Immunity Enhancer

Mushrooms growing in the soilNothing does more to boost your dogs immune system than this extract of oats, barley, yeast, or mushrooms.

It’s a must have aid to restoring, boosting and protecting your dogs immune system to diseases like diabetes and cancer.

Your dogs immune system is their internal defence mechanism to anything that should not be in their body such as viruses and bacteria.

What’s in Beta Glucan?

Beta Glucan is a natural complex carbohydrate (polysaccharide) found in cereal grains such as oats and barley. However, it is found in its greatest concentration primarily in the cell walls of yeast and in medicinal mushrooms.

Beta Glucan as a supplement is a proven anti-tumor and anti-microbial, binding to receptors on macrophages and other cells in the body’s tissues. These are the bodies white blood cells that devour bacteria, foreign cells, dead and dying cells, mutated cells and other negative invaders in the bloodstream.

When you give a beta glucan supplement these immune cells are more active, more powerful and effective in attacking and consuming what doesn’t belong in your dogs system.

What’s the Benefit of Using Beta Glucan for Diabetes?

Senior dogBlood sugar metabolism regulation and reduced insulin needs are just one area of benefit here. You will especially want to give your dog beta glucan if they suffer from any type of cancer, a weak immune system, or diabetes.

Beta glucan has been scientifically proven effective on dogs as an anti cancer and anti tumor treatment.

This powerful natural nutrient will benefit any dog in the following ways:

  • Making them healthier
  • Less allergenic
  • Less stressed
  • Faster healing
  • More resistant to infection from microbes, bacteria and viruses
  • Reduce blood sugar swings
  • Reduce insulin needs

Beta glucan is doing this because its boosting the dogs immune system to function much more powerfully therefore effectively.

A 2014 study from the American Association of Immunologists states, “the innate immune response induced by low-dose β-glucan is regulatory in nature and can be exploited to modulate T cell response to β cell Ag for inducing an effective protection from T1D.”

Simply stated; Beta Glucan consumption regulates and protects from diabetes.

Another 2014 study from the department of veterinary medicine at the university of Lavras, Brazil concluded; “the ingestion of BGs ( Beta Glucans) was efficient in decreasing glucose levels of diabetic patients.”

How to Use Beta Glucan to Boost Your Dogs Immune System?

You can buy it in capsule form or as a cream. Use the capsules for everything stated above and the cream for skin conditions such as burns, wounds and any eczema or skin cancer condition.

Be careful to buy a quality brand as many claims are made. Make sure the cream is stated to have at least 1% real beta glucan in it! If you buy 100mg capsules, then open up the capsule and pour out half onto dog food at 50mg for small dogs and the whole 100mg for larger dogs, do this daily. There are no side effects, it’s very safe and very powerful.

My dog Buster is 11 years old and was diagnosed with diabetes two years ago. Aside from one scare with Ketoacidosis he’s done really well. He is starting to lose his vision now and that kills me. I was reading about the beta glucan and think I’ll give it a try. Would he get a 1/2 cap with each feeding? I feed twice daily because of the insulin injections – 14 units of Novalin N twice a day.

  2. Hi Elaine, yes 1/2 cap each feeding daily for life. The best diet for Buster would be a raw food diet if that’s what you are able to give him. I say this so that you keep him away from starches (kibbles) that fuel yeast and force higher doses of insulin. Dan.

    Hi Don!
My dog Moose is 9 old and diabetic over a year. Thanks to your advice he is on raw food diet and as you said the blood sugar started to drop below 10 and doing well. However i suspect he is developing cushing disease. I am giving him coconut oil and beat glucan, plus flex seed lignants and melatonin. Any comments or recommendation? Thanks: Frank

  4. Hi Frank, I’d check out a good CBD oil, it does more than advertised and start treating with that. I’d only use a natural de-wormer, only vaccinate if required by law, have a low stress environment (CBD is great for this) and use green vibrance freeze dried whole food greens for a host of body support.

  5. Hi Dan. My Siberian Husky just got diagnosed with diabetes and thanks to me falling upon your YouTube video, I’m starting her on a raw food diet (today was her first day)! Will this alone reverse the diabetes? I unfortunately can not afford the insulin. What food is recommend to start her on?

  6. A raw food diet is the best action for diabetes and it can reverse diabetes but there’s no certainty as each case is different. I recommend you take a look at this page and get the book which will take you through everything you need to know to successfully switch your dog onto raw food. Dan

  7. Hi Dan, I found your page through a youtube video while searching out alternatives to Hill’s Prescription W/D Stew which is very costly at ~ $40 for 12 cans which only last 8-9 days. My 11yo min pin Harley had failing health for a while but after some tests (blood panel and a Dexamethasone test) the vet said it was “inconclusive” – a 6 months later he started drinking copious amounts of water and peeing almost hourly and weighed about 22lbs despite not eating much. We took him to a different vet and they did blood work and his blood glucose was at 790. Poor guy had been in such bad DKA that he had pancreatitis and they didn’t think he’d make it. Thankfully he responded to the insulin and immediate diet change from kibble to Hills W/D canned food…He’s still always hungry and I feel like I could be giving him more nutritious, filling meals (he eats at 6am and 6pm only with his 6 units of insulin) for a fraction of the cost. We have another 11yo min pin who is healthy but I can see her starting to age and would love to also get her off kibble and mass-produced food to give her a longer , healthier life. Cost is also a concern, since Harley’s food is costing us $160/month and we have a 2yo and another baby on the way. People in the comments section keep mentioning the Raw Diet you recommend for diabetic dogs. Are those diets available in the book you link to above?

  8. Hi Courtney, sorry for late reply. Yes I recommend a raw food diet as the best way to help support diabetes. And yes that’s the diet in the link and you can contact me danscott(at)healthydogforlife.com if you need any further answers or help. Hope that helps and that money can be far better spent ie less outgoing for a far healtheir diet that will also drop insulin needs to minimal. The quicker you get away from Hills the better!

Hello, when you say raw food, what you mean by that my dog was diagnosed with the diabetes. Do I go to regular grocery store and buy meat and give it to them? I don’t have to cook it? So what I mean the raw meat is the same type of meat as I would buy it for myself? Do I buy organic to make sure no hormone added? You also mentioned raw green tripe how do I get that and what brand please? I dont want her to be injected twice a day I really want to reverse that for my toy poddle. Can I get a plan and what to feed her and I will pay you for that. I live in USA

  10. Hi Reizhna, take a look at this page for what you need. Best, Dan.
